Accurate and precision measurement is one of the most vital components of any high technology industry. A proper calibration of the measuring instrument used is critical in ensuring the quality of the product / service rendered by the particular industry.  

NorthLab group has the capability, expertise, equipment and relevant accreditations to undertake calibration of a wide range of instruments – Pressure, Temperature, Electrical, Mechanical, Dimensional etc. The calibrations are done both at the laboratory and at site (customer premises). The industries served by the group include High Precision Manufacturing, Aerospace, Marine, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, Automobile, Telecommunications, Defence, Medical etc.  

NorthLab group’s varied calibration capabilities include the following:  

Pressure  Calibration – done through a range of vacuum to 4000 bar / 60000 psi. Both absolute and gauge pressure devices are handled. High vacuum devices are also calibrated. Calibrations can be done by using the fundamental deadweight method or by using highly accurate and automated reference pressure transducers.  

Temperature Calibration – done through a range of -80°C to 1200°C. Humidity Calibration is done from -80°C (DP) and from 5% to 95% r.h. Calibrations done include Resistance Thermometry, Thermocouple Thermometry, Glass Thermometry, Radiation Thermometry, Dewpoint, RH etc. Thermal and Humidity profiling of chambers and ovens are also done.  

Electrical Calibration - done include AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, time interval, frequency, resistance, inductance, capacitance, high voltage upto 100 kV AC/DC, high current upto 1000A AC/DC, single phase and three phase AC/DC power etc.  

Mechanical Calibration - done include airflow, air velocity, sound pressure level, rotational speed(rpm), volumetric, specific gravity, mass, force and static torque tools including multipliers upto 5000 lbf-ft.

Dimensional Calibration done covers an extensive range varying from small tools (Vernier Calipers and Micrometers upto 2000mm, Depth Gauges and Depth Micrometers, Height Gauges etc,), Limit Gauges such as Threaded and Plain Rings/Plugs/Pins, Snap Gauges, Feeler Gauges, Laser Scan Micrometers etc., to calibration of Gauge Blocks, Caliper Checkers, Height Masters etc. We also carry out Angular Measurement work such as calibration of Protectors, Inclinometers and Precision Levels. Other specialized work we carry out include calibration of Surface Tables, Coating Thickness Gauges, V-Blocks and Cube Moulds, Hardness Testers, Microscopes and Projectors, Indicators and Inductive probes.

Other miscellaneous calibrations include conductivity, pH, TDS and turbidity  etc.
